What to Expect

Where real life and real faith come together

Open Bible Church is a friendly, family oriented church desiring to grow in our relationship with Christ and each other. It is a vitalizing church that reflects the life-transforming power of Jesus Christ and is founded on strong Biblical foundations and committed to the truths that are found therein. We’ve combined all the elements necessary to create an inviting, exciting, and life-changing atmosphere. Here are answers to some of the questions you may have.

Do I need to dress up?

Only if you want to. Most people dress casually at Open Bible Church and everyone dresses comfortably, so wear what you like.

What is the atmosphere like?

At Open Bible Church, you’ll find real people - in other words, people just like you. It is not about a building, a place, or an organization - our church is about people! Some words that describe the people at Open Bible are “friendly, warm, open, accessible, and loving.” Come as you are, and be yourself!

What happens during the church service?

Each week is different, but some common elements include the following:

What are the messages like?

Each week we’ll present creative messages from the Bible that will easily apply to your life. We want you to walk out of Open Bible with a greater understanding of God’s plan for your life and how you can practically live that out during the next week. If you are just checking out what Christianity is all about, you’ll easily understand what we’re talking about. If you’ve been a follower of Jesus for years, plan to be challenged in your faith.

How long does the service last?

The service is usually between 1½ and 2 hours long.

Are children welcome in the service?

Absolutely! We offer an excellent K.I.D.S. Church service as well as a wonderful infant and toddler nursery geared to meet their specific needs. We use a child I.D. system to protect your family.

Anything else I should know?

We serve breakfast in our Café before the service from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. So come early and enjoy a cup of coffee or a doughnut, monkey bread, egg casserole, etc. etc! This is offered for a free-will donation.
