Children’s Ministry

Dave & Sue Freeman

Naomi Waldo

Each Sunday morning, we have K.I.D.S. Church for ages 3 through Grade 2. Awana Club is on Wednesday nights through the school year, for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade. We also have an annual Vacation Bible School in the summertime.

Youth Ministry

David & Michelle Wanat

The youth have a weekly service on Wednesday evenings, called L.I.F.T. (Light in Flawed Times). They also have a get-together called G.T. twice a month and participate in regional youth events.

Small Groups

Small groups consist of people who gather together to get to know other Christians, to grow in their relationship with Christ, and to reach out to the unchurched.

Each small group is under the leadership of a trained small group leader who is responsible for coordinating the meetings, activities, and for providing on-going support and encouragement to the small group members.

We strongly encourage everyone to attend a small group on a regular basis. We have a variety of small groups to choose from.

House of Freedom / APWAP Entertainment

Ben & Kristin Bravard

House of Freedom is a church plant in west Ames, Iowa. The core group started as a college ministry based out of the Boone Open Bible Church. After two years of continuous growth in the ministry, Pastors Ben and Kristin Bravard, started to feel God taking the ministry in a different direction. They had several conversations with Pastors Brett and Jennifer Black, founders of House of Freedom International, and found they shared the same vision for the next generation. The Bravards felt impressed to plant House of Freedom-Ames, with the vision of reaching the young and young at heart in the Ames and Boone area. House of Freedom Church meets at 2202 229th Place, Ames, IA.

APWAP Entertainment is a ministry of House of Freedom-Ames, which exists to provide top talent entertainment to the Ames/Boone area. Over the last two years, they have hosted concerts featuring local, regional, and national bands. APWAP Entertainment currently hosts concerts at two different venues; Open Bible Church in Boone, and their home church, House of Freedom-Ames.
